He has served at LHCC for 20 years and as a pastor there, he serves on the elder board, the teaching ministry, the singles adult ministry, and cell groups ministry. He completed his Master of Divinity at the Talbot School of Theology and his undergraduate degree at UCSD. Chinese Speaker: Dr. Andrew Ma

Dr. Andrew Ma graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary with a Ph.D. in Cross-Cultural Studies, focusing on the history of the modern Chinese church. Dr. Ma is currently a freelance preacher. He has served as the Cantonese pastor of the Chinese Evangelical Free Church of East L.A., after serving as the director of administration and faculty of the China Evangelical Seminary North America. He has pastored churches in Hong Kong and North America, and is a sought-after speaker for many Chinese churches and seminars, as well as a teacher for seminaries.

After graduating from seminary, Dr. Ma began ministering at his mother church, Canaan Church of Evangelize China Fellowship. He pursued further studies by pursuing a Master of Missiology at Fuller. Realizing the need for more experience in missions, he moved on to church planting in Twin Cities, Minnesota. By God’s grace, at the encouragement of mentors, he moved on to a Ph.D. study focusing on the development and suffering of the Chinese churches after 1949. Dr. Ma is gifted in preaching and teaching. With a burden for Chinese missions, Dr. Ma hopes to equip more workers in the Chinese churches in missions for God’s kingdom and to build up the Kingdom of Heaven.
